Tight Ends Streamers – 2023 Week Fifteen

The bye weeks are finally over and we’ve got a full set of 16 games to pick between this week. Unfortunately, it’s not a great set of games for finding strong streaming options. Hopefully, you’ve managed to pick up one of the players that have emerged over the course of the season. But, if you are still struggling we have two solid option to consider rather than the usual three. We’ll also run through the other options likely to be on the waiver wire.

All of the options discussed in the article are rostered in less than 50% of Yahoo fantasy leagues. These suggestions are aimed at players in 10-12 team leagues. In shallower leagues there may be better available. In deeper leagues there’s a good chance some of these players will not be available for you.

Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills

Rostered in 8 % of Yahoo Leagues

Dawson Knox had a consistent role in the Bills offence early in the season. But a wrist injury resulted in a spell on injured reserve. Knox returned this past Sunday and caught all three of his targets for 36 yards. In his absence Dalton Kincaid has looked great and has established himself as a key part of the Bills offence. However, Kincaid picked up shoulder injury on Sunday. He said he wasn’t worried after the game, but it’s one to monitor through the week.

Up next is a potential shoot-out against the Dallas Cowboys. It’s a middle of the road match-up on paper, but one the Bills should be able to put up points in. If Kincaid can’t go then there should have a big role for Dawson Knox. Even if he does, Knox can still have a role in a high volume game. Last week Knox earned some snaps without Kincaid on the field as well as playing alongside the rookie as well.

Logan Thomas, Washington Commanders

Rostered in 43 % of Yahoo Leagues

It’s been an up and down season for Logan Thomas. The veteran has put up three scores over 10 points, but has also had three games under 5 (excluding a week 3 DNP). Thomas is averaging over 6 targets a game so there is a good amount of volume there for the tight-end. It’d be nice to see it come with more than the three touchdowns he has to date.

The Commanders travel to LA to face the Rams this weekend. It’s a great match-up for the tight-end position against a defence allowing over 60 yards per game to the position. There should be plenty of volume to go around for the Commanders given how explosive the Rams offence has been. There is some risk with Thomas, but he’s a lot better than most of the other options available this week.

Other Options

Chigoziem Okonkwo (34%) gets a strong match-up against the Houston Texans. He’s looked better in recent weeks, but he’s still hard to trust.

Tucker Kraft (10%) has stepped up in Green Bay and looks to have a solid role in the offence.

Tyler Conklin’s (19%) TE2 role as a safety blanket continues. If Zach Wilson can continue to play as he did on Sunday there might be some more big play potential going forward.

It’s hard to trust anyone in Las Vegas at the moment, I’d avoid Michael Mayer (8%) this week if you can.

Gambling on a Cade Otton (38%) TD might not be the worst plan this week. Green Bay have given up plenty of TDs to the position in recent weeks.

After looking promising earlier in the year, Tanner Hudson’s (4%) snap counts have plummeted. There isn’t a tight-end in Cincinnati you can trust right now.
