DFS Value Plays – Bet365 NFL Sunday Redzone Week 4

Week 4 is here and after a weeks hiatus we’re back to look through some value plays for the Bet365 Sunday Redzone competition. We’re a down a game worth of players this week with the Jaguars and the Falcons playing in London early on. There’s a few obvious value plays which we’ll touch on below – I expect some of them will be very highly owned.

This week the Sunday Redzone competitions covers both the 1pm and 4pm kick-offs and entries start from £2. There is the standard 9-man line-up to fill consisting of 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex and 1 D/ST with full PPR scoring and no yardage bonuses. The budget has been bumped up slightly to 116M, so 12.89M per player on average.

Quarterbacks

  • Russell Wilson (17.1M) – As Denny Carter of NBC pointed out this week, the problem in Denver has not been Russell Wilson. Wilson is throwing the ball accurately and looks back to his Seattle self. He’s been on the wrong side of variance so far this season, managing just two touchdowns on 11 attempts inside the oppositions 5 yard line and at least one of those was a drop. This week against Chicago is the perfect spot for some positive regression.

Running Backs

  • Joshua Kelley (9.1M) – Since stepping in for Austin Ekeler as the starting running back, Kelley’s performances have been shocking to say the least. But Ekeler is looking to be out again this week and WR Mike Williams is done for the season so the volume should be still be there. The Chargers face a poor Raiders side who have given up 122 rushing yards per game to opposing running backs. Jimmy Garoppolo could miss the game with a concussion, against a back-up QB Kelley might get a lot of work if the Chargers can take an early lead.
  • D’Andre Swift (12.1M) – After looking to be second in the pecking order in week one, D’Andre Swift seized his chances in week two with a monster game against the Vikings. He looks to have established himself as the starter for Philly after following that up with 130 yards on 16 carries in week 3. Gainwell will still be involved in the offence, but against Washington there should be plenty of work to go around.

Wide Receivers

  • Tee Higgins (11.9M) – Tee Higgins another positive regression candidate this weekend. He’s had a very disappointing start to the season, he has dropped some passes but Joe Burrow’s slow start has been the main cause. The targets have been there for Higgins and if Burrow can regain so fitness and form the fantasy points will surely come. This weeks opponents, Tennessee, are an extreme pass funnel, so we can expect the targets to remain this week. The price for Higgins is pretty amazing as well, there won’t have been many (if any) weeks he was this cheap over the last two seasons.
  • Tank Dell (9.3M) – After making a slow start to his NFL career, Tank Dell has been excellent over the last two weeks. The rookie has earned 7+ targets, topped 70 yards and scored a touchdown in each game. This week, the he gets the Steelers whose pass defence has been uncharacteristically generous to start the season. Opposing wide receivers have racked up over 200 yards per game against the Steelers this season.

Tight Ends

  • Taysom Hill (5.9M) – When it all goes right Taysom Hill can be a fantasy football cheat code at the tight-end position. The issue is it can be hard to predict when he’s going to see a lot of opportunities. This week his outlook looks pretty good with Derek Carr set to miss at least week 4 with an AC joint sprain. This could clear the way for Hill’s package of plays to increase alongside Jameis Winston under centre. If Hill can earn 10+ touches, as he did in week two, he should have a good chance at a strong score.

Defence/Special Teams

The Houston Texans (7.3M) are a defence I couldn’t imagine playing before the season started. However, they have been pretty solid from a fantasy perspective to start the season. They’ve managed multiple turnovers and 8+ fantasy points in 2 of 3 games. The Texan host the Steelers this week who have been rocky on offence to start the season. Kenny Pickett managed his first turnover free game last weekend, but threw three over the first two weeks of the season.
