I’m back to go through my favourite plays in the Bet365 Sunday Redzone competition. Teams consist of 9 players (1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 DST). This week the budget has been adjusted down 123M, an average of 13.6M per player. My plays will generally lean towards the cheaper side to allow some stud players to be fitted into a line-up as well.
Quarterbacks
Tyler Huntley (16.0M) is my pick outside of the elite QBs this week. Huntley stepped in last week when Lamar Jackson suffered a knee injury. Huntley didn’t get much going through the air, but he did add 41 yards and a TD on the ground against a tough Broncos defence. Last year, over 4 games, Huntley average 9.5 carries a game for the Ravens giving him a solid points floor. This week he gets a far Steelers defence that isn’t playing great, offering him a chance to add a bit more through the air to record a solid score.
Running Backs
- D’Onta Foreman (11.4M) – Since the Panthers traded Christian McCaffery, Foreman has established himself as a really good runner with four 100 yard games over the last 6 games. His price is depressed this week as he is working through a foot injury, after a DNP on Wednesday, Foreman got in a limited practice today. He’s trending towards playing, and if he can he faces the Seahawks abysmal run defence giving him a solid chance at another 100 yard day.
- James Cook (8.7M) – After a low start in Buffalo it looks like Cook is taking the lead in the committee. Last week Cook earned 20 touches, including 6 receptions, leading the backfield in touches for the first game this season. If he can maintain this usage he has a great opportunity to put up a solid return for a bargain price.
- Tony Jones Jr (5.2M) – The Seahawks are hurting at running back with Kenneth Walker, DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer al nursing leg injuries. If Walker plus one more of the above miss time, Tony Jones will be in line for a solid workload at a bargain basement price. To top it off the Seahawks face the Panthers, whose run defence is allowing over 100 yards per game to opposing backs.
Wide Receivers
- DJ Chark (9.3M) – Chark’s role in the Lions offence has been increasing over the last three weeks as he returns from an ankle injury. The Lions have been hit and miss on the road, but at home they usually end up in a shoot-out. This week should be no different hosting a weak Vikings secondary.
- Nico Collins (10.1M) – Collins might be on the worst offence in the league, but averaging 9 targets a game over the last 4 games makes up for a lot of inefficiency. He’s also scored 2 TDs and made it to at least 10 fantasy points in 3 of 4 games. This week the Texans face the Cowboys and figure to be behind early yet again, there should be no let off in volume.
Tight Ends
- Greg Dulcich (8.9M) – The Broncos offence may be awful this season, but Dulcich has been one bright spot. This week, the head coach even said they are using Dulcich in a “wide receiver role”, that’s borne out with him rarely blocking and running over half his routes from the slot. This week the Broncos face the Chiefs and look set to need to pass a lot to keep up opening up a lot of opportunities for Dulcich.
Defence/Special Teams
The Buccaneers (8.5M) look like the best option outside the elite defences. The 49ers will be starting either Mr Irrelevant, Brock Purdy, or Baker Mayfield who they picked up on waivers this week. Either way there is definite turnover and sack potential in this game, especially if Brady can score early.
