NFL DFS Week 13 Value Plays

I’m back to go through my favourite plays in the Bet365 Sunday Redzone competition. Teams consist of 9 players (1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 DST) with a total budget of 135M, giving an average per player of 15M. My plays will generally lean towards the cheaper side to allow some stud players to be fitted into a line-up as well.

Quarterbacks

Jimmy Garoppolo (16.1M) jumps out as the best of the non-elite quarterback options. Garoppolo has a wealth of receiving talent at his disposal between receivers, tight-ends and Christian McCaffrey at tight-end. This week he gets a Miami defence averaging over 20 fantasy points to the QB position. With their high-powered offence they’re a strong bet to keep oppositions needing to score for the full 60 minutes.

Running Backs
  • Gus Edwards (8.6M) – When he has played, Edwards has operated as the lead back for the Ravens earning 16 carries in 2 of 3 games. The efficiency hasn’t been there, but against the struggling Broncos offence there may be plenty of volume to make up for it. He doesn’t add much in the passing game, so we’re looking for him to nab a TD to pay off.
  • Kyren Williams (9.2M) – Matt Stafford has headed to IR putting the final nail in the Rams season. John Wolford will start in his place and the Rams figure to do their best to avoid him passing. A match-up with the Seahawks soft running defence gives Kyren Williams a chance to build-on last weeks solid fantasy outing.
  • Samaje Perine (11.1M) – Perine appears in this spot for the second week in a row, and again it’s contingent on Joe Mixon missing the game. If so, Perine is inline for a big workload again and the Chiefs allow a lot of valuable receptions to running backs. If Mixon does play, avoid Perine at all costs.
Wide Receivers
  • George Pickens (11.9M) – Pickens has shown himself to be hugely talented and the one Steelers receiver that can catch some of Kenny Pickett’s wayward throws. This weeks game against the Falcons is a dream spot for a big week.
  • Quez Watkins (8.2M) – Quez Watkins has put up some solid scores since Dallas Goedert injured his shoulder in Week 10, scoring 10+ points in all three games. This week the Eagles face the Titans whose strong run defence makes them the biggest run funnel in the league. In a game where the Eagles may pass more than usual, Watkins could be the one to have a big night.
Tight Ends
  • Evan Engram (7.8M) – Engram has been up and down in the Jaguars offence, but against the Detroit Lions the expectations for all increase. The Lions give up a touchdown to a tight-end every other game on average, if Engram can get one he could have a very solid game.
Defence/Special Teams

The Browns (8.1M) aren’t the cheapest defence of the week, but they provide a nice value a step below the top options (around 10M). The Browns face the moribund Texans, and should be able to control the game comfortably. So, Myles Garrett and co should have plenty of chance to get after Kyle Allen and cause turnovers.
