NFL DFS 2022 Week 12

We’ve got one line-up to enter in the Bet365 Sunday Redzone Competition this week. The competition covers all games that are on Redzone. There are a lot of big name injuries that open up opportunities for lower priced players we can take advantage of.

At quarterback, I’ve gone for Tua Tagovailoa who gets a cakewalk match-up against the Houston Texans this week. The biggest risk to his week appears to be whether the Texans with Kyle Allen can keep it vaguely close. On the plus side, Miami have kept a strong commitment to the passing game regardless of the situation this season.

I’ve paired him with Tyreek Hill, the star of the team. Hill is on course for the 2nd most receiving yards in a season of all time, and the Texans have no players who can match-up with him. Given the Texans struggles I haven’t selected any players from them.

At tight-end, I have taken Mark Andrews from the Ravens. With Isaiah Likely out and both Demarcus Robinson and Devin Duvernay picking up knocks during the week, Andrews’ could be in line for an even bigger workload than usual.

My next wide receiver is Drake London of the Atlanta Falcons. As I mentioned in my early thoughts article, London has a chance for a big target load with Kyle Pitts now done for the year although his QB is still Marcus Mariota. The Falcons look likely to be behind against a tough Commanders defence, so London could have good quantity of opportunties if not quality.

Tee Higgins rounds out the wide receivers, after a monster-week last week as the WR1 for the Cincinnati Bengals. This week, he has a solid chance to repeat against the pass-funnel Titans defence that has been allowed the 3rd most passing yards in the league. Jamar Chase is set to miss this week so Higgins’ target volume should remain high.

I have added Higgins’ teammate, Samaje Perine, as my first running back. Joe Mixon is out this week with a concussion, leaving Perine as the clear lead back. The Titans do have an excellent rush defence, but Perine will have all of the high-value touches in the backfield and could add a decent number of receptions.

Next is another running-back with the chance to capitalise on the injury of a team-mate. Rachaad White, will be the lead back for the Buccaneers s Fournette is out with a hip injury. Whilst Gio Bernard may take some passing work, White has an opportunity for a big day against a porous Cleveland Browns rush defence.

I’ve paired my final running-back with his teams defence. Michael Carter and the Jets face off against the Chicago Bears this week who look set to hold Justin Fields out with a hamstring injury. With Trevor Siemian at quarterback, the Jets sneaky good defence has a shot for some turnovers this week.

With that in mind, if the Jets take control of the game early Michael Carter could see a lot of the ball. Mike White will start in place of Zach Wilson, the offence should at least be competent this week and there may be increased targets available for Carter.
