NFL DFS Week 10 Early Thoughts

I’m back to go through my favourite plays in the Bet365 Sunday Redzone competition. Teams consist of 9 players (1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 DST) with a total budget of 135M, giving an average per player of 15M. My plays will generally lean towards the cheaper side to allow some stud players to be fitted into a line-up as well.

Quarterbacks
  • Jacoby Brissett (13.9M) – Jacoby Brissett gets a fantastic match-up for what should be his final start for Cleveland. The Dolphins are giving up the most fantasy points to Quarterbacks this season and put up plenty of points themselves to keep oppositions throwing.
Running Backs
  • James Conner (11.1M) – James Conner missed 3 weeks before returning last week against the Seahawks and playing over 70% of snaps. With Kylar Murray nursing a hamstring injury, Conner should take all the redzone and goal-to-go carries this week.
  • Jerick McKinnon (7.7M) – Jerick McKinnon appears to be the back to use in Kansas City at this point. In last weeks overtime victory against the Titans he played on 62% of snaps and ran a whopping 50 routes. In the Chiefs high powered offense he has great upside.
Wide Receivers
  • Chris Olave (13.8M) – Chris Olave is a stud with a great match-up on paper. The Steelers give up the most yards and fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. His price of 13.8M is far too good an opportunity to pass up!
  • Christian Kirk (12.4M) – If we like the Chiefs offense to play well against the Jaguars, it stands to reason there should be plenty of pass attempts from Trevor Lawrence to go round. Christian Kirk should be first in line to benefit – he has had 9+ targets in 5 of 9 games this season and this looks like a great spot to make it 6.
  • Chase Claypool (10.3M) – Claypool had a solid start to life on Chicago Bears earning 6 targets from Justin Fields on only 35% of snaps. He only managed to turn them into 13 yards, but he did draw a Pass Interference call on a deep shot. Against the woeful Lions defence with another week to learn the offence he has an opportunity for a big week.
Tight Ends
  • David Njoku (9.4M) – As we mentioned earlier there is a good chance of increased passing volume in the Browns offense this week. Njoku has said he will return from his ankle injury this week, but it’s no sure thing. If he does play, he could have a great day against the Dolphins.
Defence/Special Teams

There are number of starting Quarterbacks looking questionable to play this week, including Matt Stafford, Josh Allen and Kylar Murray. If any of the three were to sit it would vault the Cardinals (7.7M), Vikings (6.3M) or Rams (8.2M) into must play territory.

Assuming all three QBs do play this week, the Chiefs (8.6M) would be my preferred play – if they can jump out to an early lead against the Jaguars there is some good potential for sacks and turnovers.
