This week we entered one line-up into a Bet365 Sunday Redzone competition with a Miami Dolphins stack. With no Joe Mixon (5 TDs) there was no chance of a high placing, but lets see whether we could scrap a money playing position.
The Miami Dolphins stack put up a pretty decent set of scores this week. Tua Tagovailoa threw three touchdowns in a close fought victory against the Chicago Bears.
Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle both played well and accounted for over 75% of Tua’s 302 passing yards. Both also managed to score touchdowns to make put solid scores.
We had less luck with Evan Engram who caught only 1 of 2 targets for 8 yards. He did suffer a back-injury he played through which may explain the lack of production in a great match-up on paper.

We correctly predicted a big day for the Bengals against Carolina, but Joe Mixon’s career day stole the show. He accounted for 5 of 6 touchdowns including Burrow’s only passing TD. Tee Higgins did at least lead the team in receiving catching 7 of 8 for 60 scoreless yards.
Deandre Carter was questionable with an illness coming into the game, but he played through with the Chargers missing both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. He had a reasonable day, catching 5 of 6 for 53 yards, but sadly couldn’t find the end zone.
The Colts had a miserable day against the Patriots in a 26-3 loss. With the lopsided scoreline, the 20+ touches we expected for Deon Jackson didn’t materialise. A knee injury that took him out of the game briefly may have led to a reduced workload, but he wasn’t efficient with opportunities regardless with just 23 yards on 11 carries and 2 catches for 13 yards.
Kenneth Walker, however, did live up to the billing running for 109 yards and 2 TDs and catching 3 passes for a further 20 yards. The Cardinals look like they will remain a defence to target for the remainder of the season.
Finally, we expected the Bills to take an early lead against the New York Jets and give the defence plenty of opportunities to get after Zach Wilson. Shockingly the Jets managed to upset the presumptive cream of the AFC with the Bills managing 2 sacks and a single fumble recovery.
Overall, the team earned 134.48 points finishing in 512th place, leaving us 11.48 points away from the money.
Final Thoughts
For the first week we’ve had a solid result from all players in the team stack. It feels like we were really close this week, on another day some of Mixon’s TDs could have gone Higgins’ way. We’ll go again next week, and hopefully earn a first cash!
We’ll return later in the week to cover some early thoughts on the Week 9 schedule. To make sure you see when the post goes live follow me on twitter @ThinkingFantasy
