NFL DFS 2022 Week 8

We missed on a high-risk stack last week, but we go again in the Bet365 Sunday Redzone Competition. The competition now covers all games that are on Redzone, as opposed to only the 6pm games that have been covered in previous weeks. Hopefully the extra options help me to pick a winning line-up!

The Minnesota Vikings get a solid match-up against a poor Cardinals pass defense this week, making them an ideal choice for stack! Kirk Cousins is up and down in fantasy this season, this week projects to be an up week.

I’ve paired him with Justin Jefferson and Irv Smith Jr. Jefferson needs not explanation – he’s one of the best receivers in the league and the clear number one option for Cousins.

Irv Smith could easily be Adam Thielen in another line-up, but the Cardinals are bleeding yards to tight ends. Smith has had some red-zone targets this season and this could be another week with a TD.

On the other side of the game, Deandre Hopkins returned from a PED suspension last week and immediately hoovered up targets. In an injury depleted Cardinals receiver group, Nuk was targeted on almost 50% of Murray’s passes last week and there’s no reason to think this will change significantly.

Like the Vikings, the Dolphins get a great match-up against the Lions this week giving Jaylen Waddle the potential for a boom week. Tua is back at QB and Waddle comes in 2.6M cheaper than Tyreek Hill.

Marquise Goodwin rounds out my wide receivers. DK Metcalf is listed as questionable with a knee injury, even if he does play there is a good chance he is on a snap count this week. Goodwin is lightning quick and just needs one big play to pay off a 8.2M price.

At running back Saquon Barkley is an obvious choice this week against the Seahawks. Saquon owns the Giants backfield and faces a defense among the most generous to running backs this season, especially in the passing game. Expect him to get the ball early and often this week.

Christian McCaffrey had a solid first week in his new team, despite not having a single practice snap he still earned 10 touches for the 49ers. This week I expect a significant increase in workload with McCaffrey not playing on 3rd downs or in 2-minute offence last week. At 13.7M he has the potential to be a great value this week!

Finally, I’ve gone with the Eagles Defence against the Steelers this week. The Steelers are giving up almost two turnovers a game on average and last week gave up three interceptions. With the Eagles offense likely to score often, Pittsburgh will have to pass to keep up giving opportunities for takeaways.
