NFL DFS Week 4 Early Thoughts

I’m back to go through my favourite plays in the Bet365 Sunday Redzone competition. This competition covers the 1 pm EST Sunday games only. Teams consist of 9 players (1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 DST) with a total budget of 135M, giving an average per player of 15M. My plays will generally lean towards the cheaper side to allow some stud players to be fitted into a line-up as well.

Quarterbacks

This week quarterback seems very top heavy – Bills, Ravens and Eagles stacks are sure to be popular options. Outside of that the quality drops off quick, especially with Justin Herbert suffering with a rib injury.

I do like Trevor Lawrence (16.8M) as a cheaper option. The Jaguars had a great game against the Chargers last week scoring 38 points. The Eagles have tightened up on Defense after allowing 35 to the Lions in Week 1, but I think there is still potential for a solid day for Lawrence

Running Backs
  • Tony Pollard (11.6M) – the Cowboy might not be willing to accept it yet – but Tony Pollard is clearly the best back on the team at this point. This week they face a poor Commanders team that will offer plenty of opportunities to run the ball.
  • Khalil Herbert (12.3M) – With David Montgomery injured Herbert has a chance to rack a huge volume in a Bears offence that hates to pass. He has a solid match-up against a struggle Giants team that should ensure the Bears aren’t chasing the game. He will likely be a popular choice, but at the price point he’s hard to resist!
Wide Receivers
  • Gabe Davis (13.3M) – Davis one of our picks last week, he didn’t have a huge game but he didn’t get a solid volume returning from injury. The Ravens secondary ocontinued to struggle last week, giving up multiple big catches to Devante Parker. This will likely be a secondary that we target on a weekly basis.
  • Rashad Bateman (12.8M) – On the flip side Lamar Jackson has excelled to start the season and the poor Ravens secondary means he can’t afford to take the foot off the gas. Bate,an comes in at all most 5M cheaper than Mark Andrews and has potential for a monster game in what could be a shoot-out against the Bills
Tight Ends

Outside of Mark Andrews there a no slam-dunk options on the slate this week. Dallas Goedert (11.4M) could be a good choice, especially stacked with Jalen Hurts. Tyler Conklin (10.3M) is also interesting, but with Zach Wilson returning at QB it’s unclear whether his great early season volume will continue.

Defence/Special Teams

At Defense it may worth taking a flyer on the Houston Texans (6.9M) – Justin Herbert clearly struggled last week with his rib injury and lost Jalen Guyton to a torn ACL.
